Appreciation for the spiritual masters

I cannot but wonder how spiritual masters convey their messages from their higher states of consciousness into the ordinary consciousness of human beings, like me. I sympathize with those who were attacked for their transcendental insights and views, and those who were laughed at, or even crucified for what they claimed for.

We tend to believe that what the spiritual masters are saying is the same as what we are understanding at the moment, but is it really so? Is our awareness really high to be aware and fully understand what they are trying to convey?

Rabih,

before I continue, I must say that I personally believe in freedoms and that people are allowed to believe in what they want.

but, on a more personal level, I think this is all crap if not back by real scientific evidence from several respectable institutions that have no affiliation with any religious agenda whatsoever. Neutrality is key. Otherwise, all sorts of spirituality and religions in my opinion is crap. Does it make any sense that Jesus rose and disappeared on the 3rd day? And that the Quran was revealed to an illiterate Mohammed through Gabriel? And that God spoke to Moses? lol

Posh,

Thank you for your comment and view, and I do respect your opinion. I don’t know if your comment was a direct reply to my post. If this is the case, then I guess you misunderstood my point. If not, then it was a pleasure to read your point of view. But in any case, allow me to add the following.

My intention was not to go into the details of religions and spirituality, whether they make sense or not, or even if they are crap or for real. My point was related to the difference in levels of consciousness and awareness between a master and a disciple, or in other words, a speaker and a listener, which can be applied to all axes of life and not only spirituality. I took the example of spirituality since it’s the mostly used scenario and could trigger the reader’s thinking process.

In any case, it’s always a pleasure for me to read your comments.

Rabih,

then my comment demonstrates how bad a listener (reader in this case) I’ve been. Although, in normal circumstances I am an excellent listener…

Accept my sincere apologies.

First, I am very feverish. I am very very ill at the moment. Been like this for 5 days and it’s getting worse. So do accept nonsensical comments from me until further notice (hopefully soon).

Second, every time I see the terms ‘religion’ and ’spirituality’, some kind of unexplained anger takes over me. I am so allergic to religion that sometimes I think the devil lives inside of me… hehe.

Okay, I’m going to go back to resting in bed.
